Just because you fall into the readership demographic of Vice, doesn't mean that ergo you're also the face of the brand. The idea is that Vice reports on people who are breaking out, taking off or leading the way. And Virtue implies that brands can place themselves in this spotlight (for a fee). Which results in "motorcycles, snowboarding and beer" being trumpeted as cutting edge and where "tastemakers" are at today. It's not and you're not. There’s a slight confusion here. Just about everyone I know around my age are into the same things. I hate being targeted and labeled as a "hipster" or "tastemaker" but Vice does know what I like and what I want to see. Hate all you want, but Vice + Virtue has the market cornered. As a person who falls in the demographic which Vice caters to, I must say that I am into or interested in motorcycles, snowboarding, beer, Nike, Syfy channel, and nightlife. Just about everyone I know around my age are into the same things.

I hate being targeted and labeled as a “hipster” or “tastemaker” but Vice does know what I like and what I want to see. Hate all you want, but Vice + Virtue has the market cornered.

They're taking the hit... And we too are getting bored with all the TGB mentions... But it's just too coincidental not to garner a quick word (at the end)... Chalk it up to bad timing. I'm curious to see what other HateBomb alumni join these illustrious ranks, though I doubt they'll challenge the seniority of charter members... We're looking for new targets and have nothing against TBG... Really.
